Mixing Desks
Mixing desks receive all of the inputs (microphones and direct signals from keyboards and electronic instruments) and are used to ‘mix’ them together – adjusting how much of each sound is sent to the speakers.
a) Explain what mixing desks do and what their job is in a sound system.
Illustrate your explaining by making or finding a diagram showing how all the parts of a sound system connect to the mixer.
b) Find out about some of the other features of mixing
